Just for You – A Three-Session Pottery Wheel Beginner Course Ready to get your hands muddy and your creativity flowing? This course gives you three inclusive sessions (each 1.5–2 hours) on a modern pottery wheel, learning all the basics of throwing under the guidance of studio tutor Ani Rowell. Over the three sessions, you’ll gain a solid understanding of: Throwing basic cups, mugs, and bowls on the wheel Trimming your pieces for a professional finish Glazing your creations so they’re ready to take home and enjoy What’s included: All materials, tools, and firings — everything you need to go from a lump of clay to a finished, functional piece. What to bring: Comfortable clothing (not too loose) Short fingernails for easier wheel work An apron or old towel to keep the clay where it belongs Where: 19 Ross Rise, Taupō — just 12 minutes from the town centre Unleash your creativity, enjoy the process, and leave with pottery you’ll be proud to say you made yourself.

Please treat this like buying a ticket to a movie or concert. If you are unable to make your class, we are happy for you to on-sell your ticket and we will try and assist with this where possible. Should you become ill during a course, we will endeavor to assist a catch up session where we can, Due to the small size of workshops and limited space at the studio this may not always be possible.
