We're looking forward to welcoming you both to the studio for a fun, hands-on introduction to the pottery wheel. What to Wear Pottery can be gloriously messy, so please wear: Comfortable clothing you don't mind getting a little clay on Closed-toe shoes Short nails are recommended if possible Long hair tied back Aprons are provided, but clay does have a habit of finding its way everywhere! Where to Go 19 Ross rise ,Taupo , we are the Acacia Bay end of Marapra road, approx 14mins from town Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can get everyone settled before we begin. What to Expect This is a relaxed beginner-friendly session designed for people who have never touched a pottery wheel before. During your 2-hour experience you will: Learn the basics of wheel throwing Be guided through centering clay on the wheel Create cups, bowls, and simple forms Have plenty of laughs and probably a few wonky masterpieces along the way No previous experience is required. Your Pottery Each participant may keep up to 5 pieces from the session. Your selected pieces will be: Trimmed and finished by the studio Glazed in your chosen colour Professionally kiln fired completed work will be ready approximately 3–4 weeks after your session. You will be notified when your pottery is ready for collection. Courier options may also be available by arrangement.
